Extractions & Surgery

An extraction or removal of a tooth may be required for several reasons, such as trauma, disease or for corrective reasons. Whatever the reasons may be, the tooth and surrounding tissue are anesthetized, an incision may or may not be made and depending on the integrity of the tooth to be removed bone around the tooth may or may not be removed. The procedure concludes with the safe removal of the affected tooth. Post-operative instructions are given to the patient along with medications. It is very important for patient’s to follow the instructions given for a successful outcome. Follow up visits may be require to ensure that site of extraction is healing well.
